Over the past three months, seniors Chris Shipley and Austin Klems have been hard at work. Both young men attended a 36-hour volunteer firefighting class, held 3 nights a week with the Greenhills Fire Department. This week, Chris and Austin passed the State of Ohio volunteer firefighting certification test, making them Active Volunteer Firefighters.
They are both excited to move to the second part of the class, which is an EMT course. Both Austin and Chris hope to pursue firefighting as a future career.
Great job Spartans!
