Roger Bacon Participates in Blood Drive with Hoxworth Blood Center

Roger Bacon students once again gave back to the community on March 31 by donating much needed blood.

In conjunction with Hoxworth Blood Center, Roger Bacon held its annual blood drive to help replenish a critical need for donations. Dozens of students over the age of 16 years old took time from their busy school day to make the sacrifice and donate blood. Each unit of blood donated has the ability to save up to 3 lives.

Roger Bacon Blood Drive organizer, Mrs. Annie Welt said, "I love helping the students partner with Hoxworth and UC! It is such a unique opportunity for the students to help close to home and the RB community."
