It was a historic season for the Roger Bacon Girls' Varsity Golf team. This year marked the first time in the school's history where a girls golf team was competing as a varsity sport. For the previous two years, there was a girls golf team, but they were considered a club sport.
In October, the team was recognized at their end of the season golf banquet and received the first-ever varsity letters for girls golf.
Head coach Nick Rosenfeldt said, "After being a club team for the past two seasons, it was such a privilege to be a part of our first ever Varsity Girls Golf team in 2024. Our girls finished third in the MVC against some strong teams, and participated in Roger Bacon’s first ever Girls Sectional Tournament in our nearly 100-year history. The sky is the limit as this group is just getting started!"
Congratulations to this historic team!
