Roger Bacon was thrilled to welcome back Craig McGee Jr. '17 this afternoon to share his inspiring journey of faith and sports with our students for the latest edition of of Spartan Leader's RB180. Craig's name is etched in the basketball record books at both Roger Bacon and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Students enjoyed hearing about the pivotal role faith played in shaping his experience as a student-athlete at both the high school and collegiate levels. He also emphasized the value of hard work and how the discipline instilled at Roger Bacon prepared him for the challenges of college and life beyond.
Craig is the only Spartan in history to play in three state final four tournaments (2014, 2016, and 2017). At Rose-Hulman, his remarkable career included earning first-team all-conference honors four times and achieving a rare milestone of over 1,000 points, 500 assists, and 500 rebounds—becoming the first player in school history to reach both of these extraordinary feats.
