Claire Hogshead's academic achievements during her four years at Roger Bacon have earned her the distinction of being named valedictorian for the class of 2021. For the first time in Roger Bacon's 93-year history, Clair and her sister Grace are the first siblings in Roger Bacon history to earn the honor of valedictorian and salutatorian.
Claire attended St. Ignatius elementary school. She is an Assisi Scholar and member of the National Honor Society. She is very active in community service and outreach, having earned numerous awards for her efforts.
Claire has earned $366,000 in scholarships for college and will study chemistry at the University of Dayton.
Grace Hogshead attended St. Ignatius for elementary school. She is an Assisi Scholar, and played soccer for four years at Roger Bacon. Grace is also president of the National Honor Society. Her academic achievements at Roger Bacon have earned her the distinction of being salutatorian for the Class of 2021. She is part of the first siblings in Roger Bacon's 93-year history to earn valedictorian and salutatorian honors. Grace is also very active in community service and outreach programs, having earned numerous awards for her efforts.
Grace has earned over $450,000 in scholarships for college, and will study marketing at Miami University next year.
Evan Webb attended St. Michael for elementary school. He is an Assisi Scholar and a member of student senate. Evan is also a standout athlete, earning all-league and all-state recognition in football and helping lead the baseball team to another successful season. Evan has earned an amazing $1.2 million dollars in scholarships for college. He will be attending Mount Saint Joseph University where he will play football and study computer science & natural language processing.
Tori Gruenwald attended elementary school at St. Clement. She is an Assisi Scholar and member of student senate. Tori is also a standout soccer player, and very involved in yearbook. Tori has earned over $290,000 in scholarships for college. She will be attending the University of Cincinnati and plans to study nursing.
Natalie attended elementary school at St. Catharine of Sienna. She is an Assisi Scholar and standout swimmer. She was recently named an Academic All-American by the NISCA. She is very involved in the fine arts programs in a variety of mediums, was featured in this years Fine Arts Festival, and has been a Scholastic Art Contest recipient.
Natalie has earned an academic scholarship to attend the University of Cincinnati.
Sam attended St. Nicholas Academy for elementary school. She is an Assisi scholar and was a member of the girls soccer and softballs teams. She also is an accomplished vocalist, having sung the national anthem at numerous games and starring in several productions for the drama guild. She is also a member of Chorale and a winner of "RB's Got Talent."
Sam received over $80,000 in scholarships for college, and will attend Miami University on a biology / pre-med track.
Anna Kowalksi attended St. Michael elementary. She is an Assisi Scholar, an honor roll student, and very involved in Roger Bacon's community outreach efforts. Anna is also a member of Chorale and the Drama Guild, and participated in all 8 drama guild productions during her time at Roger Bacon.
Anna has earned over $137,000 in scholarships for college. She will be studying Early Childhood Education at Ohio Northern University.
Belle Nye attended St. Nicholas Academy. She is is an Assisi Scholar and honor roll student at Roger Bacon. Belle also played girls soccer, and was one of the outstanding bowlers in the city. She is also active in Roger Bacon's fine arts program, is an excellent photographer, and was prominently featured in this year's Fine Arts Festival.
Belle has earned over $20,000 in scholarships for college. She will be studying nursing at Xavier University.
Kaitlyn Grantmaier attended St. Gabriel for elementary school. She is an Assisi Scholar and played varsity tennis for the Spartans, where she served as captain her senior year.
Kaitlyn has earned several scholarships for college. She will be studying nursing at Miami University.
Charlie Strunc attended elementary school at John Paul II. He is an Assisi scholar and honor roll student at Roger Bacon. Charlie was also played soccer and volleyball during his time at Roger Bacon. Charlie is also active in the fine arts programs, and was featured in this year's Fine Arts Festival.
Charlie has earned over $200,000 in scholarships for college. He will be studying mechanical engineering at the University of Dayton.
