Annie Timmons '78 Speaks to Students for RB180

On October 23, Spartan Leader presented the first RB180 speaker of the school year. Spartan Leader is a student run group that works to connect one's faith and athletics. RB180 allows guest speakers to come in and give witness to their own faith journeys and its alignment to their own athletic experiences. This month's speaker was OLA grad Annie Timmons '78!

Annie spoke to students about her upbringing and how her faith and simply talking to God helped her get through more difficult times. She was a volleyball star at OLA, but after several injuries, she spent her senior year coaching rather than playing. Continuing her athletic career in college at Mt. St. Joseph, she succeeded on the volleyball court, but contributes her relationship with God for helping her to deal with difficult team dynamics. Annie has since put her service for others attitude at the forefront in her life as she has been the director for the Friars Club for over 48 years!

Thank you Annie for sharing your inspiring story with our students!
